Donate Your Old Mobile/Cell Phones to the
Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia

The Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia is
asking mobile phone owners to answer the call and donate their used mobile
phones to help raise funds for the House.
250 million used mobile phones are lying around
this country! If companies and individuals can pull their old phones out of
drawers and off shelves and turn them over to us, we can convert them into
funding. It's a simple, effective way to turn someone's trash into treasure for
our cause.
We have partnered with
CollectiveGood,
a company that generates funds for charities through cell phone recycling.
Donated phones are kept out of landfills, and are either refurbished and sold
primarily in Latin America, or they are scrapped for parts.
Any portable mobile phone is accepted, excluding
bag phones or vehicle-installed models.
Not only will it benefit the Ronald McDonald
House, but donated phones are recycled into reuse in the developing world, and
the process protects the environment as well.
Please, won't you donate your old mobile and
cellular phones to us!

Pop-Tab Recycling Program

To help provide a
Home Away From Home
For the families of seriously ill
Or critically injured children
Did you know that little insignificant tab you
pull to open your can of soda could make a significant impact on fund raising?
The aluminum can is valuable but this small metal tab is like a gold nugget to
the Ronald McDonald House! It is easily removed from the can, and it is:
*Clean *Ecological
*Convenient & Noncompetitive with other can recycling Programs
The Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia has an on-going Pop Tab Program whereby individuals, groups or schools
collect the pop tabs from aluminum cans and turn them in for recycling. We have
a wonderful business relationship with Macon Iron and Paper Stock Company, which
has agreed to be our scrap metal dealer and record all aluminum brought in by
schools and groups, and to pay top dollar at month's end to our Ronald McDonald
House!
Our goal for this program is to raise money for
utility bills each month at the RMH. With a House as large as ours, we encourage assistance from everyone, individually or through
businesses, to pitch in and start collecting pop tabs! Collecting pop tabs is
easy and fun!
How do I collect pop tabs? You may make
your collection container from any cardboard box, milk jug or large zip-lock
Baggies. Decorating them will bring attention to them and remind folks about
saving the pop tabs.
Who can participate? Students, employees,
churches, youth groups, garden clubs, etc.
Where do I place a container? In vending
areas, break rooms, classrooms, churches, etc. Where do I take them?
Participating central Georgia McDonalds Restaurants (call our office for
specific locations) or if you have large amounts, please deliver the pop tabs
directly to Macon Iron and Paper Stock Company (1645 Seventh St. at Edgewood
Avenue - look for signs).
